It always tough to do Malias hair, today we went to our favorite place Nu Du Salon! They just won three years in a row The Best Salon in Long Beach! Here’s why I believe they own up to the title… Malia always has had a fear of cutting or doing anything to her hair because it’s so hard to manage. Paul,Meredith and Shannon and their team talked to Malia step by step the process and told her why she needs to have it cut and maintained. They did a fantastic job and even stayed after closing to make sure it was perfect and she was happy. It means a lot to me not to rush a job just because she’s a little girl, they have passion and heart and understanding. Thank you for always being there for us and thank you for being the best!

Everytime I've gone to Nu Du I've loved my hair. The last two times I've gone to Heidi, and she does such a great job. She really listens and I leave very happy. Every person I've encountered is friendly, and it's such a happy environment.

I walked in a frazzled hot mess and walked out a curly Q DAZZLING Diva! Audrey listened, applied her expert skills, took care to nourish and infuse moisture BACK into my dried out locks and completely transformed the drought in my hair into an OASIS of cascading curls!!!! I love her, her story telling, her flow and expertise was mesmerizing. GREAT ENERGY!

Maisie was amazing!! I came in with box dye and got partial highlights and they came out amazing. Everyone in the salon was so nice and made you feel welcomed! Would recommend 10/10 to everyone

First time at Nu Du, and it was great! Heidi was terrific - she gave me a fabulous haircut after I let my hair languish for 5 months while I searched for a new stylist. I have fine hair and her cut was perfect. Will be seeing her again.

I've had appointments with Rach here a few times for various things: trim, highlights, full color. They do a fantastic job every time. I get so many compliments and every time I say "Rach at NuDu on 2nd Street! They're amazing!" I don't go anywhere else anymore. Rach is the best!

Meredith is an amazing hair stylist with versatile knowledge capable of guiding you and delivering the best cut you will ever have. My particular cut is a skin high fade which is the best fade I have received in my life and keeps me coming back. Men's cut, women's cuts, color, styling...there is nothing Meredith cannot do.

I’ve been going to Paul for years at NuDu, and I can genuinely say he is the best hairstylist I’ve ever had. When I opened up to him about how much I wanted extensions due to hair loss, he listened with so much care and made me feel completely at ease. The results were perfect! (Pics below) Paul just gets it. He always knows exactly what I want, even when I can’t fully put it into words. I look forward to every appointment, not just because I walk out feeling confident and beautiful, but because the time I spend in his chair is so fun, the hours always speed by. I’ve been going to this salon for almost 2 years and have had my hair done by Dion and most recently, Rach! Dion is amazing at fun haircuts and made the transition from having long hair to a faux mullet really fun and the results were amazing!! Rach cut my hair today and they did an amazing job! They talked me through the process on how to best style my nu du 😉 I really enjoyed the conversation, as it turned out we both enjoy spooky TV and theater! My daughter also got a short pixie here and has proclaimed this is her new salon now as well.

Mahalia does such a good job every time I go to her. She really listens to what you want but also gives helpful input so your hair actually turns out how you pictured (usually even better). I never feel rushed, and she pays attention to the small details that make a big difference. My hair always looks super clean and put together when I leave, and it even grows out nicely, which says a lot about the cut. She’s also just easy to talk to and makes the whole appointment feel comfortable. I honestly don’t let anyone else touch my hair — I trust her completely. Definitely recommend her if you’re looking for a stylist who really knows what they’re doing.
